The report presents a broad picture with data from 159 higher education institutions in 36 European systems. It shows different institutional strategies and measures and analyses success factors, challenges and needs for support to build institutional capacity. It is of interest to university leaders and managers developing their institutional strategy, staff charged with implementation, researchers and students interested in the topic, as well as policy makers and administrators at European and national levels as they develop new policies for higher education and research.
Re-Framing the Picture: An International Comparative Assessment of Gender Equity Policies in the Film Sector

Re-Framing the Picture presents findings from the research project “Gender Equity Policy (GEP) Analysis”, which set out to assess, understand, and model the impact of gender equity policies in the film sector. An international, multidisciplinary research team analyed three key industries: Germany, the UK and Canada. This report presents a detailed analysis of gender equity policies including extensive interviews conducted with a range of industry stakeholders. It further includes an evidence-based assessment of policy impact based on data representing film production activity in these jurisdictions between 2005 and 2020. The analyses are contextualised by a quantitative exploration of 34 film industries supported by the Eurimages fund.
future.film.education
future.film.education is a collaborative research project aiming to contribute to a more innovative, inclusive and diverse film and higher education environment, both on- and offline.
The project of three European film and art schools, ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln (DE), Moholy Nagy University of Art and Design (HU)and Universidade Lusófona (PT), has developed toolkits and a MOOC for online teaching and diversity. These outcomes will help improve the quality and capacity of online teaching and further strategies for considering diversity and inclusion as core learning outcomes of film, media and arts study programmes.
